• Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face.
• Avoid alcohol and smoking for 24 hours prior to treatment.
• Stop unnecessary blood-thinning medications/supplements at least a few days prior (e.g., NSAIDs like aspirin and ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E), unless prescribed by your doctor—always follow your physician’s directions.
• Inform your provider of any recent antibiotics or history of cold sores (herpes simplex); antiviral medication may be needed if treating around the mouth.
• Schedule your appointment with no major events in the following week, in case of bruising.
• Consult an experienced provider who specializes in neurotoxin injections, not a nonqualified administrator.

• Consultation: Provider reviews your goals, medical/medication history, and facial muscle anatomy to tailor treatment.
• Preparation: Target areas are cleansed, and sometimes a topical numbing cream or ice may be applied for comfort.
• Injection: Provider uses a very fine needle to inject small amounts of neurotoxin into specific muscles. Number of injections depends on area treated (typically multiple spots per region).
• Typical duration: Whole procedure lasts 10–30 minutes.
• Safety protocols: Sterile technique and FDA-approved neurotoxins are used. Providers follow strict hygiene procedures and review patient health for contraindications/allergies.

First 4 Hours:

• Don’t lie down or bend over.
• Avoid massaging or manipulating the treated area.
• Keep skin clean; wash gently.

First 24 Hours:

• Do not wear tight hats/headbands.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol.

First 1–2 Weeks:

• No facials, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments.
• Avoid aggressive face washing and facial massage devices.
• Use ice or arnica for swelling or bruising, if needed.
• Practice gentle “facial workouts” to contract treated muscles, if directed.
• Results usually start showing in 3–7 days, with full benefit at two weeks.
• Schedule follow-up in 2–3 weeks for touch-ups if necessary.
• Repeat treatments every 3–6 months for ongoing results.
